Senior Program Associate (Operations)

Position Summary:
The Senior Program Associate will lead the end-to-end implementation of the JNV Nagaland
Foundation Program. This role involves creating a collaborative learning environment, driving
measurable improvements in student learning outcomes, and supporting the growth of team members
through effective coordination and guidance. The Senior Program Associate will ensure smooth
program execution.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Administration
? Oversee and ensure the seamless implementation of the program, maintaining standards of quality and
efficiency.
? Plan and execute administrative tasks, aligning efforts with program growth and expansion targets.
? Monitor program operations, identify gaps or challenges, and implement timely solutions to ensure
smooth and effective functioning.
Team Coordination
? Coordinate with the Foundation team to strengthen stakeholder relationships, ensure
quality classroom facilitation, provide effective mentoring, and enforce adherence to
established processes for seamless program implementation.
Program Implementation and M&E
? Implement systems to collect data on student behavior and performance, using insights to
prioritize and improve program elements.
? Ensure 100% attendance and active participation of students and schools in the program
through consistent follow-ups and engagement.
? Travel extensively across program locations to monitor implementation, provide on-ground
support, and ensure operational excellence.
? Identify and address challenges faced by schools or the education system, escalating issues
where necessary for timely resolution.
? Conduct periodic career guidance sessions for students during school visits to support their
academic and professional aspirations.
Documentation and reporting
? Weekly, Monthly and quarterly reports.
? Make program impact reports.
? Capture success stories and learning from operations of the program.
Stakeholder management
? Work with Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti officials to get necessary approvals for smooth
implementation of the program in schools.
? Maintain good relationships with school Principals to ensure smooth implementation of the
program through regular meetings and submitting required reports.
? Prepare reports periodically analyzing the progress of the students and share with all the
stakeholders.
? Make a timely visit to the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Regional Office Shillong.
Requirements
Education: Post Graduate, Management degree would be a plus.
Experience:
? Overall project coordination /management and stakeholder management experience
? Experience in the education space
? Previous experience of working with district or state level education officers is a plus.
Skills:
? Effective communication skills, both spoken and written
? Strong problem solving ability and Data Interpretation skill.
? Interpersonal skills, relationship building, and stakeholder management skills
? Basic proficiency in using computer software and a laptop with uninterrupted internet connection
and a minimum upload speed of 2 MBPS.
? Knowing Nagamese Dialect would would be a plus
Personality traits:
? Deeply care about education and have empathy towards students from low-income
backgrounds, their teachers and their parents.
? Ability to connect with, inspire and motivate students.
? Passion for working in the Education Sector and government officials.
Preference: Applicable for candidates from North East India
Salary: Commensurate as per your skills and experience.
Location: Kohima, (Periodic visit to all JNVs of Nagaland)
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Associate Program Manager/Associate Program Head.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?400,000.00 - ?600,000.00 per year
