Create, modify, and oversee development of 3D models, 2D drawings, profiles, and as-builts for piping and pipeline systems utility drawings, using AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, and similar tools.
Prepare drawings for various project stages, including preliminary and final design.
Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards.
Manage design packages for linear pipelines and station facilities in the Oil & Gas sector.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, CAD technicians, and field crews.
Interpret field data from SUE investigations and integrate it into CAD models, ensuring accurate representation of underground utilities, including processing survey and geophysical data.
Generate material take-offs, design element descriptions, and support cost estimation.
Implement and enforce drafting and design standards.
Conduct peer reviews and ensure deliverables meet project milestones.
Guide junior designers and engineers in best practices for CAD modeling and pipeline design.
Work closely with project managers and clients to address challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
Minimum 15 years in piping/pipeline design, with proven leadership in large-scale projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, and familiarity with BlueSky and MicroStation v8i. Software Knowledge in MS Office, Bluebeam, and preferably ArcGIS/ESRI tools.
Strong understanding of 3D modeling concepts, pipeline design standards, and construction practices.
Ability to compile complex 3D models, interpret 2D/3D drawings, and produce construction-ready documents.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of piping/pipeline design, permitting documents, and construction concepts.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
