To oversee and manage daily operations of the plastic injection moulding department, ensuring efficient production, quality standards, machine performance, and team management in line with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Production Supervision
Supervise all injection moulding machine operations to meet production targets and deadlines.
Allocate jobs and assign operators to machines based on the production plan.
Monitor production schedules, part quality, and machine cycle times.
Process Optimization
Ensure correct setup and operation of moulding machines, molds, robots, and auxiliary equipment.
Optimize processing parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, etc.) for efficiency and quality.
Reduce cycle time and scrap rate through continuous process improvement.
Quality Assurance
Ensure manufactured parts meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Collaborate with the Quality Control (QC) team to resolve defects or non-conformities.
Conduct in-process inspections and ensure proper documentation.
Team Management
Lead, train, and supervise machine operators, setters, and helpers.
Monitor staff performance, attendance, and discipline.
Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Machine & Tool Maintenance
Coordinate with maintenance for routine and breakdown maintenance of machines and molds.
Ensure mold changes are done safely and efficiently.
Maintain moulding logbooks and shift reports.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily production reports, shift handovers, and downtime logs.
Monitor raw material usage and report shortages or issues.
Implement 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles in the shopfloor.
Qualifications:
Diploma / ITI / Degree in Mechanical, Plastics, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
Training in injection moulding processing (e.g., RJG, Scientific Molding, etc.) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Technical:Deep knowledge of plastic injection moulding processes and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with moulding machines (e.g., Haitian, Engel, Nissei, Arburg), robots, dryers, chillers, and auxiliary equipment.
Understanding of mould setup, mold maintenance, and process parameter settings.
Managerial:
Leadership and team management.
Production planning and time management.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in plastic injection moulding operations.
At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Working Conditions:
Factory/shop floor environment.
Shift-based work (may include nights, weekends, holidays).
Physically active role - may require standing for long periods, lifting, and working in high-temperature areas.
