Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Provide strong leadership to a skilled production team, guiding them through daily operations, strategic initiatives, and ongoing process improvements. Act as the key decision-maker for all production-related matters.
Operational Oversight:
Ensure that all production targets are met, timelines are adhered to, and quality standards are consistently exceeded. Oversee all aspects of the production line, from raw material intake to finished product output.
Mentorship & Team Development:
Utilize years of experience to mentor and support junior supervisors and production staff. Foster a culture of continuous learning, providing training and development opportunities to upskill the workforce.
Process Optimization:
Lead efforts to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality by implementing best practices, lean manufacturing techniques, and technological advancements.
Quality Assurance:
Be the driving force in upholding the highest standards of product quality, ensuring that all products meet the company's quality control specifications and customer expectations.
Resource & Scheduling Management:
Oversee scheduling and resource allocation to ensure smooth production flow. Ensure materials, equipment, and labor are effectively utilized and production deadlines are met without compromising quality.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure the workplace complies with all safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for all employees, and minimizing workplace incidents.
Performance Monitoring:
Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action to ensure production goals are achieved.
Stakeholder Communication:
Work closely with senior management, engineering, and supply chain teams to align production goals with overall company objectives. Communicate any production challenges, resource needs, or operational updates to the leadership team.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 20 years of experience in production management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role in the furniture manufacturing industry or a related field.
Age:
50+ years, with extensive industry knowledge and hands-on experience in managing large-scale production environments.
Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to lead diverse teams, from seasoned professionals to entry-level workers, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Problem-Solving Expertise:
Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and implement effective solutions swiftly. Strong background in process improvements and operational efficiency.
Technical Knowledge:
