What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do


Design exceptional products from start to finish, participating in all phases of design, from definition to development and optimization.
Iterate actively with prototypes at all levels of design fidelity, informed by user research, market trends, and business goals.
Communicate and share often in written, verbal, and visual forms to create alignment and move the work towards implementation.
Collaborate regularly with engineers to ship high-quality experiences.
Work with a junior designer to design our core platforms
Build out our design team over the next 12 months & set up our design function


What we are looking for
We are looking for designers who are as passionate about strategy as they are about craft. You should be able to collaborate well with both internal and external design stakeholders. And at the same time you should be someone who takes accountability and responsibility seriously.


We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

• 
  4 to 8 years of experience in Digital Product Design. Working on consumer products would be an additional advantage.

• 
  An expert at your craft. Which means you know the difference between user flows, task flows & IA diagrams and can endlessly argue about the relative merits of Figma, Sketch and XD. It would be a bonus if you know exactly how to create super cool micro-interactions using any tool like Principle, AfterEffects or ProtoPie.

• 
  A keenness for identifying user needs, defining clear solutions, and delivering those through detailed design.

• 
  The flexibility to design in low and high fidelity and choose the most efficient and responsible process for the job at hand.

• 
  The ability to integrate feedback, validate, and iterate on our products while being mindful of our customers, contributors, and insights gleaned by our support teams.

• 
  The ability to connect business strategies, available technologies, and design solutions to deliver best-in-class user experiences.

• 
  Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills \xe2\x80\x94 you\xe2\x80\x99ll be collaborating with others and presenting your work regularly.

A proficiency in design and prototyping tools and familiarity with development.


Qualifications:


At least a degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors or related fields or equivalent practical experience. Master\xe2\x80\x99s or PhD will be given preference.
4-8 years of experience in a Consumer Product Design, UX Research or a Product Design Services setting.
