About the Role

We are looking for a skilled

Senior Procurement Engineer - Microelectronics

to join our UAV manufacturing joint venture. The role demands expertise in sourcing critical electronic components and identifying substitute materials to support uninterrupted production in advanced drone systems.

Job Responsibilities

Source & procure PCBs, sensors, semiconductors, controllers, and avionics hardware. Identify and qualify substitute materials and suppliers to overcome supply chain challenges. Collaborate with R&D and Technology engineering teams to validate alternatives. Negotiate contracts and maintain strong supplier partnerships (domestic & global). Drive cost optimization and supply assurance for UAV electronics.

Education & Experience

Bachelors in Electronics Engineering / Materials Science / Supply Chain or any relevant Certification is a plus. 5+ years' experience in microelectronics procurement (UAV, aerospace, defense preferred). Strong knowledge of PCBs, semiconductors, sensors, avionics hardware. Proven expertise in alternative sourcing and supplier development. Excellent negotiation, vendor management & cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Certification in CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional). Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards in aerospace & defense. Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Familiarity with import-export regulations, ITAR, and DGFT policies. Strong analytical skills with cost analysis & risk assessment expertise.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position based in Bangalore, India, with occasional evening or weekend work. Some travel may be required for site visits, audits, or meetings.
