In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for leading BIM implementation and coordination efforts across complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will serve as a key point of contact for technical delivery, working with engineers, project managers, and technicians to ensure quality and compliance with international standards.Key Responsibilities:BIM Implementation: Lead the integration of BIM processes and standards across the design team and stakeholders.Team Collaboration: Facilitate coordination among architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to support seamless data exchange.3D Model Development: Oversee and manage detailed 3D models using BIM software to represent design intent and comply with global industry standards.Clash Detection: Use BIM tools (e.g., Navisworks) to detect and resolve design conflicts proactively, reducing rework and delays.Documentation Generation: Produce and review construction documentation derived from BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance.Data and Quality Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date model data. Implement QA/QC processes to ensure model integrity and compliance.Mentorship: Provide training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior technicians and BIM staff.Project Leadership: Coordinate with engineers and project managers to manage design deliverables, drawings, and site reports.BIM Execution Plan (BEP): Create, review, and negotiate BIM Execution Plans with clients and lead architects to align with MEP requirements.Resource Planning: Support even work distribution, enhance team productivity, and contribute to BIM team performance optimization.Industry Compliance: Stay current with BIM/CAD standards and relevant industry regulations, ensuring all documentation is aligned with the latest technological practices.Software & Tools:Revit MEP (2009-2023)NavisworksAutoCAD MEPMicrosoft Office SuiteQualificationsEducation:Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Technical Skills:Expert proficiency in Revit MEP and Navisworks.Solid knowledge of MEP services, with specialization in at least one domain (Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing).Familiarity with 3D/4D BIM modeling, BOQ preparation, clash detection, and general arrangement drawings.Understanding of international codes and BIM/CAD standards (e.g., ASHRAE, ISHRAE, ACAD).Experience preparing design documents across all stages: Concept, Schematic, Detail Design, and GFC.Knowledge of Engineering terminology and structural coordination principles.Soft Skills:Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral.Proven leadership ability and team management experience.Capable of presenting to clients, attending meetings, and preparing design proposals.Self-motivated, flexible, and highly organized.Committed to continuous professional development and mentoring team members.Ability to work independently and meet changing deadlines with minimal supervision.Experience:7-10 years of professional experience in Building Services Design and BIM implementation.Experience leading BIM efforts for international projects, especially in the Middle East and UK.Track record of working across various sectors: high-rise, commercial, healthcare, industrial, retail, and refurbishment.Additional InformationAbout RambollFounded in Denmark, Ramboll is a foundation-owned people company.
