Senior Principal Consultant- Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual/Automated Testing)
In this role, you will take ownership of quality assurance across complex systems, designing and implementing robust testing strategies to ensure excellence. You'll mentor junior QA team members, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in enhancing our QA processes and frameworks. This is a senior-level opportunity to drive quality initiatives in a dynamic, agile, and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Research directions for future technologies and product architecture. Test Strategy and Execution
Develop, implement, and own detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test strategies, plans, and cases for complex systems.
Lead the design and development of automated test frameworks for web and backend systems.
Perform advanced manual testing when automation is not feasible, ensuring end-to-end system quality.
Issue Investigation and Resolution
Identify, document, and manage the resolution of software defects, providing actionable insights to improve product quality.
Work closely with development teams to resolve issues and validate fixes.
Agile Collaboration
Take an active role in design meetings, sprint planning, and Agile rituals, providing quality input at every stage.
Partner with product owners, delivery teams, and support functions to align QA efforts with business goals.
Mentorship and Leadership
Mentor and guide junior QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and quality ownership.
Drive the adoption of best practices for QA across the team and organization.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
Generate comprehensive reports on testing coverage, performance, and defect trends.
Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, tools, and practices to align with industry standards.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Passion for continuous self-learning and improvement.
Proven experience in manual and automated testing of web applications and APIs.
Proven expertise in creating and managing complex test scenarios, including real-world customer simulations.
Strong understanding of web application architecture and backend systems.
Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MS-SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).
Proficient in using tools like Selenium for test automation and scripting.
Solid programming skills in languages like C# or similar.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering results.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Experience in leading QA initiatives for large-scale systems.
Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git).
Understanding of cloud-based testing strategies (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Familiarity with security testing and best practices
