You will be part of a team building a robust data and analytics ecosystem, allowing GSK to drive higher value by placing data at the core of its strategic and operational decisions. This role is responsible for leading data engineering teams to drive execution of Data engineering and Advanced Analytics projects. He/She will work collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data analytics projects that can drive business growth and efficiencies. As a senior member in the Architecture team, he/she will stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and apply them to the GSK\xe2\x80\x99s data initiatives. High level job duties for Senior Principal Architect Data & Analytics would include \xe2\x80\x93 Data & Solution Architecture \xe2\x80\x93 Ability to define data architecture strategy that align with business goals and ensures data availability & data accuracy. Ensuring data quality by implementing and enforcing data governance policies and best practices Technology evaluation & selection \xe2\x80\x93 Execute Proof of concept and Proof of value for various technology solutions and frameworks Continuous Learning - Staying up to date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, and making recommendations for their adoption wherever appropriate Team Management \xe2\x80\x93 Responsible for leading a team of data architects and data engineers, as well as coordinating with vendors and technology partners Collaboration & communication \xe2\x80\x93 Collaborate and work closely with executives, stakeholder and business teams to effectively communicate architecture strategy & clearly articulate the business value Qualification

• BS or MS in engineering, sciences, or equivalent relevant experience required.
• Total 15+ years of experience and 10+ years of experience in building/managing/administrating data and analytics applications is required
• Designing solution architecture and present the architecture in architecture review forums
• Suitable candidate be able to demonstrate strong experience in the following areas -

Technology Experience Candidate must have strong experience in at least one or both of the following technology areas \xe2\x80\x93 Data Engineering \xe2\x80\x93

• Hands-on experience with data engineering tools such as Talend (or Informatica or AbInitio), Databricks (or Spark), and HVR (or Attunity or Golden Gate or Equalum).
• Working knowledge of data build tools, Azure Data Factory, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), automated testing, data lakes, data warehouses, big data, Collibra, and Unity Catalog
• Basic knowledge of building analytics applications using Azure Purview, Power BI, Spotfire, and Azure Machine Learning.

Cloud Engineering \xe2\x80\x93

• Experience with Azure administration (or equivalent on AWS or GCP), including provisioning, networking, security, and monitoring of data platform-oriented cloud services.
• Ability to implement automation using DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Stakeholder Management & Communication Skills

• Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Preferred to have experience in project management, particularly in executing projects using Agile delivery frameworks
• Ability to oversee and matrix manage GSK and 3rd party technical resources
• Customer focus and excellent problem-solving skills

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to define best practices for data governance, data quality, and data lineage, and to operationalize those practices.
• Familiarity with industrial automation and IoT, including working knowledge and experience with SCADA systems, MES systems, and historians.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering solutions that comply with industry regulations and legislation such as GxP, SoX, HIPAA, and GDPR.
• Experience managing large teams.
• Certifications such as TOGAF or Architect-level certifications from cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
