You will be working as Senior Power System Engineer at a global grade 13, will be reporting to the Local Power Studies and Consulting Manager for Electrification business area, Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India In this role you will be primarily responsible for leading and performing power system analyses and studies to support the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical power systems. You will use industry standard software and tools to model and simulate power systems, analyze data, and recommend solutions to optimize system performance. You will work collaboratively within an international team of engineers, project managers, and clients globally to deliver high-quality engineering solutions and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.Your responsibilities Leading and conducting power system studies to analyze system performance, identify issues, and recommend solutions Developing power system models using software such as ETAP, Power Factory, and PSCAD Performing power system studies like load flow, short-circuit, protective device coordination and arc flash analyses for large and complex systems Developing protection and coordination schemes for electrical equipment in high, medium and low voltage networks Providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers to empower them to perform power system studies independently Coordinating activities with other team members of the global power studies and consulting team Taking ownership of deliverables to meet client expectations as per the agreed project schedule Your background Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Electrical / Power engineering, A Master or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in power systems is preferable. Minimum 5 years of experience in power system analysis and studies Proficient in simulation and modeling software such as ETAP, Power Factory, or PSCAD Affinity towards programming (Excel VBA, SQL, Python,DIgSILENT Programming Language, Power BI) and automating the daily work routines Should have good communications and presentation skills More about us ABB\'s Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity.
