Job Description

The Senior Power Platform Administrator will serve as the enterprise's primary owner of Microsoft Power Platform environments, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Copilot/AI agents. This role is responsible for ensuring platform reliability, enforcing governance controls, enabling secure innovation, and scaling citizen development safely. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a strong governance mindset, ensuring cost efficiency, data protection, compliance, and alignment with enterprise AI/automation strategy.

This position plays a critical role as the company expands into AI-enabled workflows, Copilot Studio experiences, and advanced automation across business functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Platform Administration & Operations:

Manage and optimize Power Platform environments (Dev/Test/Prod), solution layers, Dataverse capacity, and resource consumption. Configure and manage connectors, gateway configurations, integrations, and API limits. Oversee platform health, performance, updates, and service incidents; proactively remediate risks. Build and maintain a scalable center-of-excellence (CoE) model for the Power Platform.

Governance, Risk and Compliance:

Establish and enforce governance frameworks, including: Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies Environment strategy & security models Role-based access control (RBAC) Conditional access and authentication guardrails Ensure Power Platform usage aligns with regulatory requirements (e.g., NYDFS, GLBA, internal risk standards). Partner with IT Governance, Security, and Compliance teams to maintain a low-risk posture for automation and AI. Provide visibility to leadership through dashboards, KPIs, and governance reporting.

AI and Copilot Enablement:

Administer Copilot Studio environments, including generative AI policies, guardrails, and responsible-AI configurations. Implement data governance for AI apps, including grounding data security, source control, and safe prompt engineering patterns. Oversee enterprise rollout of copilots, ensuring safe adoption, monitoring, and responsible use.

Cost and Capacity Management:

Monitor and optimize platform licensing (per-user, per-app, Dataverse capacity). Implement cost controls, usage thresholds, and reporting dashboards. Forecast future consumption, including for AI workloads, and manage budget impact.

Solution Lifecycle and Best Practices:

Support ALM (Application Lifecycle Management). Enforce solution segmentation, versioning, and sandbox-to-production deployment practices. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise systems.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar preferred. 5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform administration. Expert knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, connectors, and solution architecture. Strong understanding of governance controls: DLP, RBAC, environment strategies, compliance frameworks, conditional access. Experience implementing AI/Copilot Studio solutions with responsible AI guardrails. Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance requirements in financial services. Experience with ALM pipelines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to risk mitigation.
