Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and optimize BI solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI, strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling, along with the ability to interact with stakeholders and translate business requirements into impactful dashboards and reports.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements.
• Create optimized data models in Power BI and integrate data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs for advanced analytics.
• Ensure data accuracy, performance tuning, and dashboard optimization.
• Manage Power BI Service (workspace management, security, deployment pipelines, scheduled refreshes).
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and ensure governance best practices.
• Provide support and training to business users on Power BI adoption.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and recommend improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in developing solutions using Power BI.
• Strong expertise in Power Query (M), DAX, and data modeling best practices.
• Experience in handling large datasets and optimizing report performance.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and querying.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI Service (app workspaces, gateway configuration, refresh scheduling).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead discussions with stakeholders.

Good to Have

• Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Lake, Synapse, SQL Database, Data Factory).
• Exposure to other BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
• Knowledge of Python/R for advanced analytics.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.
