• Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of OCI Cloud infrastructure, Engineered Systems (Exadata, Linux OS and Windows OS)
• Contribute to development of platform services including architecture, provisioning, configuration, deployment, and support.
• Architecture and design: create and improve current service deployment infrastructure using automation and the latest cloud capabilities to improve agility, reliability, and observability.
• Ownership: understand internal development processes end-to-end to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
• Migration: move/re-implement existing Oracle Platforms, Engineered Systems from On-premise to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in a manner that is secure and leverages the latest cloud services.
• Troubleshooting: have a deep understanding of our services and dependencies in order to respond quickly and efficiently to major incidents and minimize service disruptions when they occur. Root cause issues so that improvements can be made. Customer support, configuration, and address escalated issues in timely manner.
• Customer support: Need expertise in cutting-edge products and technologies like Oracle Data Integration technologies, like Golden Gate, ODI, EDQ , hosting products as Software as a Service & Platform as a Service and supporting services in Oracle Cloud computing infrastructure.
• Expert knowledge with delivering cloud solutions in OCI embracing embrace cloud native principles (12-factor concepts).
• Expert knowledge working with OS like Windows servers, Linux/Red Hat.
• Expert in software development lifecycle practices (branch/release strategies, peer review and merge practices), deliver innovative CI/CD solutions using emerging technology solutions.
• Automating infrastructure and Data technologies deployment, build and configuration using DevOps tools.
• Expert in coding SQL, Python to leverage terraform for Data platform automation.
• Hands-on day-to-day expert experience in administering Oracle Engineered Systems (Exadata, Exalogic, Oracle VM\xe2\x80\x99s)
• Working with data delivery teams to setup new users. This job includes setting up Linux users, setting up Kerberos principals.
• Diligently teaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application, and business intelligence teams to guarantee high data quality and availability.
• Collaborating with application teams to perform updates, patches, version upgrades when required to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• General operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system\xe2\x80\x99s capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks.
• Solid Understanding on premise and Cloud network architectures
• Advanced experience with AD/LDAP security integration including Sentry and ACL configurations.
• Ability to configure and support API and Opensource integrations
• Experience working with DevOps environment, developing solutions utilizing Ansible, etc.
• Will collaborate and communication with all levels of technical and senior business management.
• Will require on-call 24X7 support of production systems on a rotation basis with other team members.
• Pro-actively evaluate evolving technologies and recommend solutions to business problems.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor\'s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Linux and Windows system administration, Oracle Engineered Systems (Exa platforms), Oracle Virtualization.
• 5+ years of Cloud infrastructure Engineering
• Cloud Platforms IaaS/PaaS \xe2\x80\x93 Cloud solutions: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Kerberos administration skills, Leveraging MIT and HA KDC setups.
• Experience with Oracle Platforms Engineered Systems, Data distribution.
• Good have knowledge on open-source configuration management and deployment tools such as Puppet or Chef and Shell scripting.
• Must have knowledge on DevOps tools like Ansible and HAProxy. Automating deployments and monitoring/alerting tasks using Ansible.
• Expert in terraform automation.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
• Knowledge and understanding of the business strategy and use of back-office applications.
• Ability to adapt to multi-lingual and multicultural environment, additional language skills are a bonus.
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Able to accurately estimate efforts and deliver on time.
• Experience with agile processes and general understanding of product development
• Familiarity with security practices in web application delivery
• Strong understanding of virtualization solutions and Cloud services
• Strong technical background in Linux-based OS internals, Virtualization, Cloud (OCI)
• Experience with configuration management tools
• Strong knowledge of internet protocols
• Exposure to troubleshooting network services
• Prior experience in designing, implementing, or supporting high performance and large-scale web applications.
• Understanding of the DevOps Toolchain components and how they fit together; experience developing automation and using open-source tools, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
• Understanding and experience with CI/CD practices
• Strong technical background in cloud networking, storage, and security
• Strong technical knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Registry
• Strong technical knowledge of monitoring and building dashboards (e.g., Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, etc)
• Languages: Python
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Handles hard problems with a positive "can do" attitude.
• Team player and able to work with others all skill levels.
