Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to lead and manage platform infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. The role involves implementing best practices, driving automation, and supporting continuous improvement across platform engineering and operations. You will mentor and collaborate with engineering teams and third-party partners to deliver robust platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, deployment, and management of platform architectures. Coordinate daily stand-ups, workload planning, and operational tasks for the team. Maintain and review comprehensive documentation for engineering and operational processes. Conduct audits, reporting, and governance to ensure compliance with industry standards. Identify opportunities for engineering improvements and contribute to analysis and decision-making. Respond to platform incidents, conduct technical investigations, and ensure timely resolution. Proactively monitor platform health and performance to ensure optimal service delivery. Serve as an escalation point for on-call support, providing 24/7 platform support when required. Engage with internal teams, third parties, and customers for technical guidance and support. Participate in out-of-hours work and standby coverage as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years in a senior engineer role managing platform or infrastructure architecture with compliance experience (ISO 27001, SOC 2). Strong expertise in: Linux (any distribution; certification preferred) AWS (IAM, VPC, EC2, ECS via console & CLI; certification preferred) Terraform (certification preferred) Ansible for server provisioning Python scripting (advantageous) Proven experience in troubleshooting systems across virtualized compute, networking, and storage. Experience working within ITIL service management frameworks. Familiarity with agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. Exposure to Dev-Sec-Fin-Ops practices and principles.
