Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To formulate and implement Compliance, HR & Admin policies in line with company standards.
  • Handling of IR issues and cases running in Labour Courts.
  • To play a proactive part in ensuring compliance with the local labour laws/regulations and to train staff for following statutory compliances.
  • Implementation of compliance audit through an in-house periodical audit, monitoring & training of factory management on legal, social and safety issues as per requirements or 3rd party's requirement.
  • Develops and implements hiring process for workmen and temporary employees
  • Liaising with government/semi - govt. authorities/ local bodies to ensure good public relations.
  • Contributing to the designing of the manpower plan in terms of manpower numbers and time schedules of requirements.
  • Ability to handle the entire gamut of HR issues such as recruitment, appraisal, employee engagement, grievances, training etc.
  • Establishes and maintains a presence on the plant floor to keep a read on the pulse of the organization
  • Proactively identifies and resolves employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner that protects the needs of the plant to operate in an effective and efficient manner
  • Manages and mitigates employee grievances by ensuring supervisors and leadership are creating an open forum for discussion and resolution of plant issues
  • Coaches and counsels' operations and engineering leadership management in the development and demonstration of leadership and management practices required to establish and maintain a positive work environment
  • Takes ownership of specific HR initiatives that support the effective operations of the organization by developing and/or delivering HR programs (e.g., attendance tracking, communications)
  • Tracks and documents employment issues and requests as required for procedural and statutory purposes
  • Identifies employee value proposition issues affecting turnover and works in a team to identify actions for improvement
  • Work in alignment with the Corporate HR & support in implementing the HR process & standards in the respective plant.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO & AS audit will be a benefit
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in MLS/MLW.
  • 10 -12 years of managing plant HR in an unionised environment is a must for this position in the Maharashtra region.
  • Excellent knowledge of Labor law & Industrial relations is a prerequisite for this position.
  • Previous experience in Pharma, Paints and Bottling plant will be helpful.
  • Sound knowledge of safety will be helpful.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO audit will be an added benefit.
