Position - Senior Pharmacist / ATL

The Senior Pharmacist plays a key role in ensuring that Tata 1mg's pharmacy operations adhere to the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and compliance. The role involves supervising day-to-day pharmacy functions, reviewing prescriptions, managing inventory, maintaining regulatory compliance, and mentoring a team of pharmacists and pharmacy assistants.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prescription Review & Dispensing

Accurately review and validate prescriptions received from customers and healthcare providers.

Ensure appropriate dosage, drug interactions, and therapeutic compatibility.

Dispense medicines as per legal and ethical standards.

Provide patient counseling on proper medication use, dosage, and possible side effects.

2. Quality & Compliance

Ensure compliance with Drugs & Cosmetics Act and Pharmacy Council of India regulations.

Maintain all statutory records, licenses, and audits.

Implement SOPs and ensure adherence to Tata 1mg's quality and safety standards.

Conduct periodic audits of pharmacy operations.

3. Inventory & Supply Chain Management

Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement teams to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medicines as per regulatory norms.

Maintain batch and expiry tracking systems.

4. Team Leadership & Training

Supervise and mentor junior pharmacists and support staff.

Conduct training sessions on new drugs, procedures, and operational updates.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.

5. Customer Service & Support

Resolve escalated customer queries related to prescriptions, medications, or product availability.

Support the customer service and digital operations teams in addressing medication-related inquiries.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: B.Pharm or M.Pharm from a recognized university.

License: Valid Pharmacist License registered with the State Pharmacy Council.

Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience in pharmacy operations (retail, hospital, or online).

Experience in e-pharmacy or digital healthcare platforms is a strong advantage.

Salary - 20-24k

Location - Kolkata

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹240,000.00 per month
