You Are:
UST is searching for a Senior Performance Engineer who will collaborate with product architecture teams to review engineering practices and embed performance engineering early in the SDLC.
The opportunity:
Define Performance/NFR test strategies and plans; drive definition of test cases supporting NFR testing.
Consult and support client in strategy, tool alignment, and performance engineering practices.
Partner with supporting teams to review production stats, validate test accuracy, and implement continuous improvement practices.
Build and manage a performance testing team to deliver high-quality, efficient output.
Support script creation in JMeter and lead performance test execution.
Collect metrics, analyze results, and provide performance tuning recommendations.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
8+ years of experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering (Tuning, Profiling, Monitoring, and providing performance solutions).
Experience as a Performance Lead, managing enterprise-level performance programs across multiple applications.
Strong expertise in API and Web-based applications supporting high user volume with experience in reviewing and analyzing architecture in detail.
Proven background in designing, scripting, executing, and collecting metrics for performance testing.
Demonstrated experience in performance testing from strategy to execution.
Strong experience managing teams and delivering performance engineering services for large clients.
Must Have: 3+ years of hands-on experience in JMeter.
Experience in other tools such as LoadRunner, Neoload (highly valued).
Strong knowledge of API/Webservices Testing.
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools: AppDynamics, Dynatrace, JConsole, JVisualVM, Datadog, Splunk, Application Insights, etc.
Experience delivering performance testing across SaaS, PaaS, and on-premises technologies, including public cloud environments.
Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP cloud platform architectures (advantage).
Hands-on experience working in Agile environments.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote
Compensation Range: $68,000-$102,000

Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
