Description & Qualifications


Description The Sr People Data Reporting Associate is part of a newly created HR Reporting team which falls under the HR People Insights team. This team is responsible for ad hoc and scheduled reports which will be approved according to a data governance approval matrix and delivered in a secure fashion. Reports may be required on a one-off basis or an ongoing scheduled basis. Key stakeholders/requestors include groups inside and outside HR and key approved partners and stakeholders outside UKG. Reference databases include UKG Pro, Visier, and other key HR systems.
This position will:
  • Utilize BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to extract and transform HR data from multiple sources including HRIS (Human Resources Information System), ATS (Applicant Tracking System), and other relevant databases.
  • Select and design reports to provide the most appropriate HR fields to satisfy the user requests after reviewing and ensuring appropriate approvals are in place while meeting stated SLAs
  • Develop and maintain automated processes for data extraction, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Determine when reports should be created for self service, reoccurring or one time.

Job responsibilities
New requests
  • Review assigned tickets to ensure complete understanding of business request including timing and requested content
  • Review requested content and requestor role to ensure data governance guidelines are met
  • For requests that do not meet the existing requirements, reject with requirement to provide more business need/content for escalation review
  • Determine if content/reports already exist in self-service or existing report or needs to be created
  • Design BI or other report to pull appropriate data and ensure QA completed and SLA met
  • Provide to customer in secure fashion with scheduled follow-up where needed; upload to external sites or provide to vendors where needed.
  • Ensure report is stored and labeled properly for continued use/review
Existing reports \xe2\x80\x93 new users/new fields
  • Review assigned tickets to ensure complete understanding of business request including timing and requested content
  • Review content and requestor to ensure data governance guidelines are met
  • Update reports with users/fields where needed
Scheduled (Recurring) reports
  • Review scheduled reports quarterly and reach out to owner to check for modifications
  • Ensure ongoing reports are being sent as scheduled to the appropriate users

Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in HR, Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably within an HR function.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong data management/manipulation skills
  • Experience working with HRIS and ATS systems is desirable; experience with UKG Pro desired
  • At least 3 years experience in Cognos reporting, Power BI visualization to deliver enterprise scale reports and dashboards or other Major BI platforms.
  • Knowledge of SQL database language and/or exposure to programming languages (R, SAS, Python, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines/SLAs
  • In depth knowledge and experience with MS Excel
  • 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an operational reporting or analysis environment with a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or in a related discipline in HR, L&D, Systems Analysis, IT or Finance or Analytics.
