Job Description


Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities: - Resolves complex payroll queries with employees and stakeholders using advanced oral and written communication skills (including English fluency fluency in other languages may be required depending on region and role) - Assists payroll specialists in all countries. - Reconciles 3rd party payments. - Resolves complex general ledger issues using advanced Excel skills. - Provides data and assists with all audits. - Assists with documentation for payroll team. - Serves as subject matter expert on regional specific items. -Validate Workday change report (PECI) to ensure that the correct information is being passed for the payroll processing. - Collation of non-workday payroll data and send the same to vendor for processing. - Review payroll data processed by payroll vendor. - Perform payroll controls to ensure accuracy of payroll report. - Manage payroll authorization and timely payment of payroll to employees. - Review payroll GL file to ensure accuracy. - Provide required support to accounting team for payroll accounting & reconciliations. - Ensure adherence to statutory compliance, timely statutory filing and payments to authority. - Coordinate with payroll service provider and employees for their provident fund application process - Provide required support during internal and statutory audit. - Reply to employee\'s payroll queries through ServiceNow - Providing payroll clearance for resigned employees. - Manage year end statutory filings and closure activities. - Liaison with payroll vendor for timely closure of notices from statutory authorities. - Participate in payroll related projects. - Perform ad-hoc activities related to payroll. - Assist team leader in projects and other payroll related works. Education: Commerce Graduate, Required Skills (Must have): - Necessary industry experience & associated number of years of experience. - Minimum 5-7 years of experience in payroll process in multi-national environment. - Candidates having additional experience in as many countries payroll will be preferred. - Experience in working in a shared services environment will be an advantage. - Understanding of payroll accounting entries. - Good problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. - Drive & self-motivation with the ability to work independently. - Proven ability to form strong customer relationships, an understanding of customer focus and service delivery. - Exposure to Work Day tool will be an added advantage.
