About the department
The Global Identity Access Management (GIAM) department is part of Global Infor-mation Security (GIS) within Digital, Data, and IT (DD&IT). Our team is located primarily in India and Denmark and consists of leading experts in IAM tools, technologies, pro-cesses, and governance. We are on a mission to maintain and improve the current IAM model at Novo Nordisk while transforming it into a modernized framework that adapts seamlessly to our organization's evolving needs. By prioritizing speed, security, and scalability, we aim to empower both internal and external users with effortless access to resources while ensuring robust data protection.
The position
As a Senior PAM Specialist, you will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and interpret business, technical, and se-curity requirements for privileged access across IT, Cloud, and Manufacturing (OT) environments. Support the development and definition of a global PAM strategy, roadmap, and communication plan aligned with organizational objec-tives.
  • Contributes to defining standards, frameworks, policies, and procedures for privi-leged access management. Design and implement scalable PAM architectures that meet business, security, technical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead hands-on deployment, configuration, and upgrades of PAM solutions, ensur-ing secure architecture and seamless integration.
  • Leverage platform capabilities, including Secure Identity Access (SIA), Secure Cloud Access (SCA), and Secrets Manager, to strengthen PAM across IT and Cloud systems.
  • Design and support the deployment of privileged access controls in Azure (e.g., Entra PIM) and AWS (e.g., IAM). Implement automation for provisioning, de-provisioning, rotation, and lifecycle management of privileged accounts.
  • Extend PAM principles to Manufacturing/OT environments, such as industrial con-trol systems (ICS), SCADA environments, and IoT platforms.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
  • 10+ years of experience in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Information Security, with a strong hands-on focus on architec-ture, deployment, and solution administration.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with PAM technologies, including ad-vanced capabilities such as Secure Identity Access (SIA), Secure Cloud Access (SCA), and Secrets Manager.
  • Proven expertise in implementing and managing privileged access controls in cloud environments, including tools such as Azure Entra PIM and AWS IAM.
  • Practical experience in extending PAM principles to Manufactur-ing/OT environments, with exposure to technologies such as indus-trial control systems (ICS) and SCADA security practices.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of modern security par-adigms, including Zero Trust Architecture and its application to privi-leged access management.
  • Experience with securing and managing machine identities, including working with certificates, secrets, and cryptographic keys, as well as implementing password less authentication solutions.
  • Working knowledge of advanced monitoring and response capabili-ties, such as Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Microsoft De-fender for Identity (MDI), and similar tools for detecting and mitigat-ing identity-related threats.
  • Industry Standards in strong understanding of security best practic-es and regulatory frameworks, particularly those relevant to Novo Nordisk, including FDA, GAMP, and other pharmaceutical/healthcare standards.
  • Collaboration ability to work effectively in large, dynamic, and com-plex environments, with a flexible and adaptable mindset to navigate challenges in a fast-paced organizational context.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and Information Security departments.
  • Proven capability to align PAM initiatives with broader organizational objectives, building strong relationships across various functions and teams.
  • Excellent presentation and documentation skills to clearly communi-cate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audienc-es.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset to troubleshoot complex privileged access challenges and develop scalable, sustainable solu-tions.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CCSP, or other certifications demonstrating expertise in the area, are a plus.
