is a healthcare professional who specializes in examining, diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and disorders of the eye and visual system. They are primary eye care providers who conduct eye exams, prescribe corrective lenses, and identify eye conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye and vision care, diagnosing visual problems, and managing ocular diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive eye exams using specialized instruments. Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses. Detect and diagnose eye diseases, such as glaucoma and cataracts. Provide treatment and management plans for eye conditions. Refer patients to ophthalmologists for surgical or advanced medical care. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records. Educate patients on visual hygiene, lens care, and eye health. Participate in vision screening programs and awareness camps.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Optometry (B.Optom or O.D). Valid license/registration with the State Optometry Council. Proven experience as an Optometrist (minimum 1-3 years preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using eye examination tools and technology.

Work Conditions:

Clinic/Hospital setting with standard working hours.
