Job Description

Perform detailed refraction and visual acuity testing. Conduct preliminary eye evaluations, including slit-lamp, retinoscopy, and tonometry. Identify ocular abnormalities and refer patients to ophthalmologists for further evaluation. Assess binocular vision, color vision, and visual field as required. Assist in special investigations such as

OCT, Fundus Photography, Biometry, A-Scan, B-Scan, and Keratometry.

Support ophthalmologists during procedures and post-operative follow-ups. Record and maintain accurate clinical findings and patient data. Educate patients about diagnosis, treatment options, and lens prescriptions. Counsel patients regarding

contact lenses, spectacles, refractive surgeries (LASIK/TransPRK),

and low vision aids. Provide pre- and post-operative counseling for cataract and retina patients. Ensure smooth patient flow within OPD and investigation areas. Maintain proper documentation and timely entry in the EMR system. Communicate effectively with other departments such as reception, optical, and insurance. Adhere to hospital protocols for hygiene, sterilization, and patient safety. Maintain equipment in working condition and report any faults immediately. Participate in internal training sessions and continuing education programs.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
