Leverage your knowledge as a procurement subject matter expert to provide operational support and guidance on all procurement-related process and systems issues in accordance with established policies, procedures.

Key Responsibilities
The role with us

  • The role will place a large emphasis on management of issues, requiring escalation management and will act as a key escalation point for customer issues
  • Manage performance and improvement of delivery of services (SLAs and quality of ticketing responses) for our procurement support teams
  • Work with the Business Process Manager and the Duty manager to identify bottlenecks, gaps and improvement opportunities in procurement systems / support processes
  • Ensure compliance is achieved and embedded into support practices
  • The role will be instrumental in the management of procedure manuals, processes, work instructions used by our offshore teams and other relevant material shared within the broader Telstra
  • Identify knowledge gaps in deep-dives and impacting training and continuous improvement
  • Manage supplier resources to balance priorities and track completion across the support teams
Key responsibilities
  • Engage with relevant cross-functional teams to manage end-to-end escalation requirements relating to procurement systems, processes and support
  • Manage the performance and improvement of delivery of services (SLAs and quality of ticketing responses) for our procurement offshore support teams
  • Engage with our offshore teams to provide adequate support in empowering quality of outcomes
  • Be the training lead for our offshore teams, via developing the processes and procedures for the operation of P2P and S2C systems to ensure improved utilisation of systems and tools. This will involve maintenance of training material, procedure manuals, processes and work instructions
  • Perform deep-dives and demonstrate problem-solving leadership for operational procurement issues and where required, leverage data analytical capabilities to support issue investigation and mitigation
  • Leverage your knowledge as a procurement subject matter expert to provide operational support and guidance on all procurement-related process and systems issues in accordance with established policies, procedures.
  • Work with the Procurement Operations, Procurement and Supplier Services teams to embrace a culture of continuous improvement, and contribute to establishing a sustainable framework of continuous integration, quality assurance monitoring and governance.
  • Engage with cross functional stakeholders to support the implementation of continuous improvement projects and tools and provide training/guidance on post implementation processes to internal users.
  • Perform BCP and risk-related activities for procurement, e.g. BCP, internal and external auditing requirements, control testing, etc.
  • Use your procurement knowledge to actively contribute to the delivery of short-term priorities, including supporting transformational projects, planned / unplanned initiatives, BAU tasks and ad hoc tactical activities that require support from the offshore teams
  • Support the administration of procurement records and generate reports to meet organisational compliance requirements, in line with established reporting cadence and data recording practices (e.g. bi-annual Statutory reporting)
  • Communicate changes to broader Telstra teams where required
