The Role
Role Overview
The
Senior Officer - Tendering & Business Development (Female)
is a critical role responsible for managing tender processes, supporting proposal preparation, coordinating with clients and government agencies, and contributing to business development initiatives. The ideal candidate is ambitious, confident in meeting people, eager to learn, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities with maturity and discipline.
This role combines tender coordination, client-facing interaction, documentation excellence, and proactive support to the BD and leadership team.
Manage end-to-end tendering activities including document download, scope review, internal coordination, and submission planning.
Prepare, compile, and format tender documents, annexures, compliance statements, and submission files.
Track tender opportunities across portals (GeM, eTendering, government sites) and share relevant opportunities with the management.
Coordinate with technical, finance, legal, HR, and management teams to ensure timely and accurate bid submissions.
Manage online/offline submission processes and maintain a centralised tender repository.
2. Business Development Support
Assist in preparing company profiles, capability decks, client presentations, and proposal documents.
Conduct preliminary research to support BD initiatives in renewable energy consulting.
Follow up with clients, government departments, and partner organisations for tender clarifications and business leads.
Attend meetings, presentations, and industry events as required.
3. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Interact confidently with clients, vendors, government offices, and tender authorities.
Build and maintain strong communication channels with existing and potential clients.
Ensure professional, accurate, and timely responses to client inquiries and documentation needs.
4. Travel & Field Coordination
Support outstation travel for tender submissions, client meetings, and BD events (preferred).
Handle travel bookings, logistics planning, and post-travel reporting.
5. Documentation & MIS Reporting
Maintain updated trackers for tenders, submissions, results, proposals, and BD leads.
Ensure proper filing of all documents--digital and physical--for audit and reference.
Support preparation of monthly BD and tender performance reports.
6. Internal Coordination & Support
Coordinate internal meetings, client calls, review discussions, and cross-functional tasks.
Support leadership with structured documentation, scheduling, and communication.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline. Management education would be preferred.
3-6 years of experience
in tendering, business development, sales support, documentation, or project coordination.
Technical Competencies
Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google Suite.
Excellent document formatting, proposal structuring, and database management skills.
Familiarity with government tender portals (GeM, Maha e-Tender, E-procurement portals).
Behavioural Competencies
Presentable, Ambitious, self-driven, and eager to learn.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English & Marathi).
Confident in meeting people and handling client-facing interactions.
Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Professional, trustworthy, and committed to confidentiality.
Comfortable with outstation travel.
