The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Odoo Developer to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will take full ownership of our Odoo 18 environment. Your primary responsibility will be to customize and enhance our ERP to perfectly match our unique business processes, with a strong focus on building robust, third-party integrations.

You will be the go-to expert for all things Odoo, from developing custom modules that streamline our warehouse and sales operations to building the complex data reports needed for strategic business analysis. This is a hands-on role that requires deep technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Odoo 18 Customization:

Design, develop, and implement custom modules and features within our Odoo 18 instance to support sales, inventory, invoicing, and logistics workflows.

API Integration:

Build and maintain critical API integrations between Odoo and our key partners, including shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, Canpar, USPS), e-commerce platforms, and other third-party services.

Data Reporting & Analysis:

Create complex data exports and custom reports to support business operations analysis, specifically for freight cost calculation and detailed sales invoicing.

System Maintenance & Optimization:

Ensure the stability, performance, and security of our Odoo environment. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise.

Workflow Automation:

Identify opportunities to automate manual processes within the ERP to improve efficiency and reduce human error.

Collaboration:

Work closely with our operations and customer service teams to understand their needs, gather requirements, and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of proven experience

as an Odoo Developer. Deep expertise in

Odoo framework, architecture, and development

, with specific experience or a strong ability to adapt to

Odoo 18

. Strong proficiency in

Python

and

PostgreSQL

. Extensive experience building and consuming

APIs (REST, XML-RPC)

to connect Odoo with external systems. Solid understanding of Odoo's core modules (Sales, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing). Experience creating complex custom modules from scratch. Familiarity with version control systems, particularly

Git

. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Arrangement & Timezone

This is a fully remote position for a candidate based in

India

. The candidate must be able to provide significant daily overlap with our team, which operates on

US Eastern Standard Time (EST)

. We require at least 4-5 hours of overlap (e.g., 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST / 4:30 PM - 9:30 PM IST) for meetings and real-time collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience integrating with shipping carrier APIs (UPS, FedEx, etc.). Experience with e-commerce platform integrations (e.g., Shopify, Amazon). Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) tools and data warehousing concepts. Front-end development skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, OWL framework) are a plus.
