Major Function



Finastra is currently seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join the Network Engineering organization . This position is responsible for network security solutioning and incident response for the Finastra enterprise. The chosen engineer will partner with internal teams, management and vendors to design, deliver, maintain , and enhance Finastra's network security capabilities.



The ideal candidate should be forward-thinking, dedicated and detail-oriented with a strong desire to work within a dynamic and collaborative environment.



Key

Responsibilities



Daily responsibilities as Network Security Engineer include requirements gathering, technical discovery, design creation and implementation duties . Proof of concept and pilot NextGen network security capabilities that include cloud native technologies Work directly with InfoSec and Network Engineering peers to develop and enhance network security capabilities that improve Finastra's security posture. Proven ability to leverage Microsoft Visio to create diagrams that depict network security solutions and/or designs . Create and publish runbooks for routine maintenance activities. Maintain technical configuration documents and standard operating procedures related to network security services. Proven ability to create design concepts and facilitate conceptual conversations with technical peers and leadership. Partner with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and t echnology vendors to compile bill of materials that represent network securit y solutions . Adhere to IT Service Management policy and procedures for return to service tasks, problem management, and change control activities. Support 24x7x365 network security incident and response needs. Occasional non-business hours support required as driven by business needs and project demand . Role requires up to 10% business travel .

Working experience with the following security capabilities: a pplication firewall inspection , i ntrusion detection/prevention , d ynamic web filtering , i nternet proxy , firewall management and audit tools Design and implementation experience using web application protection capabilities - distributed denial of service and web application firewall . Proficient with advanced load-balancer capabilities Foundational knowledge of encryption standards and protocols. Micro segmentation knowledge and deployment experience desired
