Dear Candidates,

We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Layer-2 Technical Deployment Engineer

with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in

networking, switches, firewalls, wireless access points (WAP), servers, storage, operating systems, and Active Directory

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting IT infrastructure solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing environments while maintaining high standards of performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Network Deployment & Configuration

:

Install, configure, and maintain Layer-2 and Layer-3 network switches and routers. Configure VLANs, trunking, and port security on switches. Optimize network performance by conducting regular analysis and troubleshooting.

Firewall & Security Implementation

:

Deploy and configure firewalls for securing network perimeters. Apply and manage access control lists (ACLs) and VPN configurations.

Wireless Access Points (WAP)

:

Set up, configure, and optimize wireless access points for stable and secure connectivity. Perform site surveys and troubleshooting for wireless networks.
4.

Servers & Storage

:

Install and configure physical and virtual servers, including Windows and Linux-based environments. Set up and manage storage solutions such as SAN and NAS. Perform server monitoring, patching, and backup configurations.
5.

Operating Systems

:

Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems. Apply updates and ensure compliance with security policies.
6.

Active Directory Management

:

Configure and manage Active Directory (AD) services, including user account management, Group Policy, and domain trusts. Maintain AD security and resolve any directory-related issues.
7.

Technical Documentation & Reporting

:

Create and maintain deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting documentation. Provide timely status updates to stakeholders during deployment projects.
8.

Client Interaction

:

Work closely with clients to understand requirements and provide technical solutions. Offer post-deployment support and training when necessary.
9.

Collaboration & Teamwork

:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pre-sales, project managers, and technical support teams. Participate in technical discussions and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

:

Strong understanding of Layer-2 and Layer-3 networking concepts, including VLANs, STP, and routing protocols. Hands-on experience with switches (Cisco, HP, or equivalent), firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar), and wireless access points. Familiarity with server and storage hardware, operating systems, and virtualization platforms.
2.

Certifications (Preferred)

:

CCNA or equivalent certification in networking. CompTIA Network+ or Security+. Microsoft certifications like MCSA or Azure Fundamentals.
