Senior Navision Support Engineer with 6 years of expertise in supporting and
maintaining Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) systems. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and
maintenance of Navision applications, working closely with internal teams and
external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
System Support & Maintenance:
Provide high-level support for Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) systems,
ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance across various business
modules including FI, LS Retail, MFG, Purchase, Reporting, Sales, and
Warehouse.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Navision issues, including performance
problems, data integrity issues, and user errors, ensuring swift and effective
resolution.
Root Cause Analysis:
Perform root cause analysis on critical incidents and implement corrective
measures to prevent recurrence, ensuring continuous system stability and
operational excellence.
Collaboration with Teams:
Collaborate with developers, consultants, and business analysts to design
and implement system enhancements, updates, and new functionalities
tailored to business needs.
System Integration & Upgrades:
Manage and monitor system integrations, data migrations, and upgrades,
ensuring these are performed smoothly and with minimal impact on business
operations.
Documentation:
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including
support procedures, configuration settings, and system architecture diagrams,
for future reference and best practice guidance.
Release & Patch Management:
Assist in the deployment and testing of new releases, patches, and upgrades
of Navision applications, ensuring seamless implementation and minimal
disruption.
End-User Support & Training:
Provide training, guidance, and support to end-users, ensuring optimal use of
the Navision system and enhancing overall user experience.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate
them into technical specifications, ensuring that system improvements align
with organizational goals.
System Audits & Optimization:
Participate in system audits, performance tuning, and optimization efforts to
enhance system reliability and performance.
Mentorship & Leadership:
Lead and mentor junior support engineers, offering technical guidance,
sharing expertise, and fostering professional growth within the team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), specifically
within Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Order Management modules.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve
complex technical issues.
Experience with system integrations, data migrations, and upgrades in a NAV
environment.
Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with
stakeholders and end-users.
Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
Knowledge of system auditing, performance tuning, and optimization best
practices.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently handle
tasks.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Retail and Manufacturing modules within NAV.
Familiarity with NAV reporting tools and customization capabilities.
