The Senior Modeler is responsible for leading the development of high-quality, coordinated 3D models for complex steel structures. This role involves modeling advanced steel assemblies, ensuring model accuracy, resolving coordination issues, and mentoring junior modelers. The Senior Modeler plays a key role in project execution and maintaining company modeling standards.

Key Responsibilities

Create and manage detailed 3D models for complex steel structures using Tekla Structures, Bocad, or Advance Steel.
Identify and document errors, omissions, and discrepancies, and communicate corrections clearly to the detailing team.

Guide and support junior modellers and ensure adherence to company standards and workflows. Contribute to quality assurance (QA) processes and assist with model reviews.
Write and issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify design issues or resolve conflicts in the contract documents.

Generate and check GA drawings, reports, and material take-offs derived from models. Provide input for improving modeling practices and maintaining software libraries and templates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in 3D steel modeling software (Tekla Structures, Bocad, or Advance Steel). Should be able to perform all the modeller task. Strong knowledge of fabrication, erection practices, and structural connections. Ability to interpret complex construction documents and manage modeling scope. Minimum 7+ years of experience in steel modeling or detailing, including team coordination. Excellent communication and mentoring skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Familiarity with BIM coordination tools and workflows (e.g., clash detection, IFC export).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy and completeness of models with minimal rework required. Timely delivery of modeling milestones. Effective mentoring and supervision of junior staff. Proactive issue resolution and contribution to project coordination.
Adherence to internal standards and project-specific requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
