Job Overview:
The Senior MIS Head will be responsible for overseeing the management, analysis, and reporting of all sales-related data within the organization. This leadership role will require advanced data management skills and the ability to strategically support the Sales and Marketing teams in decision-making and performance monitoring. The Senior MIS Head will be tasked with driving the MIS department's functions, ensuring the accuracy of sales data, and providing actionable insights to help optimize sales strategies and performance. The role will focus heavily on data visualization, advanced Excel reporting, and cross-department collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Data Management:
o Oversee the collection, organization, and maintenance of all sales data across multiple platforms and sources.
o Ensure seamless and error-free integration of sales-related data into the MIS system, regularly updating and validating data to support accurate reporting.
o Develop systems and processes to ensure the consistent flow of quality data across
departments.
2. Excel Reporting & Analysis:
o Lead the creation and maintenance of daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports using
advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, etc.).
o Conduct in-depth analysis of sales trends, KPIs, and other relevant metrics to identify insights and recommend actions to improve sales performance.
o Design and generate customized reports as per management needs, including sales forecasts, revenue projections, and detailed performance reports for senior leadership.
3. Data Visualization & Presentation:
o Develop advanced Excel-based dashboards, charts, and visual reports that clearly
communicate data to decision-makers.
o Ensure the reports are visually appealing, easily understandable, and structured to
provide quick insights for the Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams.
o Lead the development of sales-related data visualization tools to present complex data in a simplified format.
4. Sales Performance Tracking:
o Oversee the tracking and monitoring of key sales performance metrics, including sales team performance, lead conversions, product performance, and territory performance.
o Collaborate with Sales Managers and Directors to establish sales targets and track
progress against goals, adjusting strategies as needed based on data-driven insights.
o Lead efforts to identify sales performance gaps and recommend actionable
improvements.
5. Data Quality & Integrity:
o Ensure the highest standards of data accuracy by implementing regular data validation, cleaning, and quality checks.
o Lead the design and execution of data audits and drive continuous improvements in data quality management processes.
o Establish ata governance protocols to ensure consistency and quality across the sales reporting system.
6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
o Partner with key stakeholders across the Sales, Marketing, and Operations
departments to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
o Coordinate with IT, finance, and other departments for data integration, ensuring that all sales-related reporting systems are properly aligned with the companys broader data architecture.
o Lead cross-functional teams to align reporting processes, data sharing, and
collaboration efforts to drive greater sales performance and efficiencies.

o Mentor and guide the MIS team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning,
and collaboration.
o Provide leadership in developing and implementing best practices for reporting, data management, and analysis.
o Oversee the professional development of the MIS team, ensuring they have the skills and tools needed to excel in their roles.
Skills & Qualifications:
? Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field. A
Masters degree is preferred.
? Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in MIS, with at least 3-5 years in a
leadership role overseeing sales data management and reporting.
? Technical Skills:
o Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables,
VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and macros.
o Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or other
dashboard/reporting tools is highly desirable.
o Strong understanding of sales processes and KPIs.
? Leadership Skills:
o Proven experience in leading teams, setting strategic direction, and managing cross- department collaboration.
o Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
? Analytical Skills:
o Exceptional ability to analyze large data sets and translate them into actionable
insights.
o Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
? Problem-Solving:
o Ability to identify issues or inefficiencies in data management processes and implement effective solutions.
