Conduct routine inspection of mining equipment like crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and heavy earth-moving machinery to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
2. Material Verification
Check and verify mechanical materials (plates, pipes, liners, bearings, shafts, welding consumables) as per approved specifications and MTCs.
3. Installation Quality Check
Monitor installation, alignment, and assembly of mechanical systems in mining plants (crusher house, material handling system, processing units).
4. Welding & Fabrication QC
Inspect welding joints, fit-ups, and fabrication work as per WPS, PQR, and relevant mining standards.
5. Preventive Maintenance Quality
Verify preventive and predictive maintenance activities for mechanical equipment and ensure proper documentation.
6. Compliance & Safety
Ensure all mechanical works comply with DGMS norms, mine safety standards, and company QA/QC procedures.
7. Testing & Commissioning Support
Participate in mechanical equipment performance testing--no-load/load tests, vibration analysis, alignment checks, etc.
8. NCR & Corrective Actions
Raise NCRs for deviations, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure issues are resolved before machine handover.
9. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain inspection reports, checklists, calibration records, equipment history sheets, and QC logs.
10. Coordination
Coordinate with mining operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and OEM engineers to ensure smooth and quality execution of mechanical work.
