We are looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiser to manage end-to-end merchandising activities for an export house. The role involves buyer coordination, product development, order execution, vendor management, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality and cost standards.

Key responsibility

Buyer Coordination Handle communication with international buyers regarding samples, orders, pricing, and delivery schedules Understand buyer requirements and ensure accurate execution Product Development & Sampling Manage product development from design handover to sample approval Coordinate with design, sampling, and sourcing teams Ensure timely submission of proto, fit, and pre-production samples Order Management Manage orders from confirmation to final shipment Prepare time & action (T&A) calendars and ensure adherence Monitor production progress and resolve issues proactively Sourcing & Costing Coordinate with fabric and trim suppliers Ensure accurate costing and margin control Negotiate prices with vendors when required Quality & Compliance Ensure quality standards as per buyer requirements Coordinate inspections and approvals Ensure compliance with export and factory standards Team & Vendor Management Guide junior merchandisers Coordinate with production, QA, logistics, and external vendors

Requirements

Graduate / Postgraduate (Textiles, Fashion, or relevant field preferred) Experience5-10 years of experience in apparel merchandising Strong experience with export markets (EU/UK/USA preferred)

Skills

Strong buyer communication and negotiation skills Good knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes Excellent follow-up and problem-solving abilities Proficient in MS Excel and merchandising systems Experience working with design-driven export houses Knowledge of export documentation and shipment processes
