Job Description

1. Product Development & Planning

Collaborate with buyers, designers, and suppliers to develop new products according to market trends and brand requirements.

Analyze seasonal trends, colors, fabrics, trims, and styles.

Prepare product costing, price negotiation, and margin analysis.

Ensure product samples meet the required standards and timelines.

2. Vendor & Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors for raw materials and finished goods.

Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and quality standards with suppliers.

Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure smooth operations.

Monitor supplier performance and resolve any production or quality issues.

3. Order Management & Execution

Manage the entire order process from development to shipment.

Review purchase orders, tech packs, and specifications for accuracy.

Coordinate with factories for production planning and ensure timely delivery.

Track order status and proactively address potential delays.

4. Quality Assurance

Work closely with the QA team to ensure product quality at all stages.

Conduct inspections (inline, pre-final, and final) as needed.

Ensure compliance with buyer quality standards and testing requirements.

5. Costing & Negotiation

Calculate cost breakdowns including fabric, trims, labor, overhead, and logistics.

Negotiate with vendors to achieve target pricing and maintain profit margins.

Review and approve supplier quotations based on market competitiveness.

6. Communication & Coordination

Act as the main liaison between the buyer and the factory.

Maintain clear and timely communication regarding samples, approvals, and production updates.

Coordinate with logistics teams for shipping, documentation, and delivery follow-up.

7. Reporting & Analysis

Maintain reports for order status, shipment schedules, and vendor performance.

Analyze past season performance to improve future planning and sourcing.

Present updates and progress to management and cross-functional teams.

8. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with social, ethical, and environmental standards.

Oversee documentation related to customs, export, and buyer compliance requirements.

Key Skills Required

Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and merchandising software.

Time management, problem-solving, and multitasking ability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
