, you will be the key point of contact between buyers, factories, and internal teams to manage the end-to-end merchandising and production process. This role demands strong coordination, problem-solving, and quality control skills to ensure timely and accurate delivery of garments. You will oversee everything from sampling and costing to bulk production and quality assurance, particularly for outerwear, woven, and denim categories. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of driving production efficiency while maintaining buyer standards.
Responsibilities:
Manage the entire merchandising process--from product development to shipment by categories.
Coordinate with buyers, production teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely sampling, approvals, and execution of production.
Conduct
quality control at all stages
of production including fabric inspection, initial production, inline, and final product stages.
Follow up on
day-to-day production activities
, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are maintained.
Prepare and review
weekly production status reports
with merchandisers; flag potential delays or challenges in advance.
Communicate with merchandisers and subcontractors during the
amendment stages
to ensure accurate implementation of changes.
Submit
lab dips, lots, and samples
to buyers/customers for approvals and follow up on feedback.
Collaborate closely with QA/QC teams to resolve any quality or compliance issues during the production cycle.
Maintain all documentation related to sampling, approvals, and order tracking.
Support the product development process by providing cost estimates, fabric/trim options, and production feasibility feedback.
Requirements:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
5-7 years of experience in a similar role, handling woven/outerwear garments.
Strong understanding of the garment manufacturing lifecycle and costing process.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
