Job Description

We are seeking a

Senior Merchandiser

with strong experience in

woven shirts / fashion garments

to handle buyer communication, production follow-ups, and order execution from

sampling to shipment

. The role requires excellent coordination, time management, and garment technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Manage buyer accounts and coordinate all stages of

product development and production

. Create and monitor

T&A calendars

to ensure on-time delivery. Coordinate with

sampling, fabric, trims, production, and QA

teams for order execution. Review and confirm

BOM, costing, and consumption

before order placement. Ensure all

sample approvals (fit, PP, wash, size set)

are received on schedule. Track

fabric / trims sourcing

and follow up with suppliers. Conduct

pre-production meetings

and resolve production issues promptly. Maintain regular communication with

buyers and internal teams

regarding order status. Lead and mentor

junior merchandisers

for timely follow-ups and updates. Prepare daily / weekly

status reports

and maintain merchandising trackers.

Required Skills & Experience

6-10 years

of experience in

garment manufacturing merchandising

(not retail). Strong knowledge of

woven shirts, trims, fabrics, and garment construction

. Hands-on experience managing

Indian retail buyers

(e.g., Reliance, Pantaloons, Max, OVS, etc.). Excellent

communication, follow-up, and coordination

skills. Proficiency in

Google Sheets / Excel

and familiarity with digital merchandising tools. Ability to

multi-task across styles, buyers, and production stages

.

Education

Bachelor's degree in

Textiles, Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, or related field

.

Job Type & Compensation

Full-time, on-site

role (Mumbai) Fortnightly travel to factory (Vapi) required Competitive salary based on experience

Pay: ₹30,498.53 - ₹50,692.75 per month
