The Senior MEP Engineer is responsible for leading, planning, designing, and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire-Fighting systems for commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The role involves technical leadership, project management, quality control, and ensuring compliance with all codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:1. MEP Design & Engineering
Review and validate MEP design drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Provide inputs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
Ensure all systems comply with relevant codes (NBC, IS Codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
Provide value engineering solutions to optimize cost and improve performance.
2. Project Planning & Coordination
Lead overall coordination of MEP activities with architects, structural, and civil teams.
Manage project schedules, manpower, materials, and site execution plans.
Coordinate with consultants and clients for design approvals and technical clarifications.
3. Site Execution & Monitoring
Supervise site work for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
Ensure execution meets approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and method statement reviews.
Identify potential issues and ensure timely resolution.
4. Tendering & Estimation Support
Review MEP tenders, BOQs, and technical documents for bidding.
Support preparation of cost estimates and material specifications.
Evaluate vendor/supplier quotes during bid stage.
5. Vendor, Contractor & Client Coordination
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
Conduct progress meetings with clients and project teams.
Ensure timely submission of shop drawings, material submittals, and approvals.
6. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
Monitor testing & commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
Ensure documentation: as-built drawings, manuals, test reports, and closeout files.
Support final project handover to the client.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering
10-15 years of experience in
MEP engineering, site coordination, and project management
Experience in contracting / construction / infrastructure projects preferred
