supports core clinical physics operations and works alongside the Metro Chief Physicist to drive physics initiatives across multiple sites. This role includes oversight of treatment planning, equipment calibration, commissioning, and quality assurance activities to ensure safety, compliance, and excellence in radiation oncology services.
The position involves providing guidance to medical physicists, dosimetrists, and residents, supporting protocol development, research initiatives, and education across the metro radiation oncology network.
Key Responsibilities

Support physics operations across multiple cancer centers in the metro region
Assist with staffing coordination for Physics and Dosimetry teams to ensure timely patient care
Facilitate cross-training of physics and dosimetry staff (IORT, TBI, CyberKnife, IMRT, etc.)
Develop and optimize evidence-based clinical protocols to improve patient outcomes
Support research initiatives for the Clinical Trials Committee
Participate in resident education as part of the GME program (Radiology & Radiation Oncology)
Oversee treatment planning processes and simulation procedures
* Perform acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration, and QA of linear accelerators, TPS
