The Senior Sales & Marketing Engineer will lead business development, customer engagement, and technical sales activities for mechanical engineering products and solutions. This role combines strong engineering knowledge with strategic sales and marketing expertise to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and develop long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities in targeted industries.
Conduct technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and client meetings.
Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sales in line with company policies.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
2. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, and OEM partners.
Understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions aligned with mechanical engineering standards.
Resolve customer concerns and ensure post-sales support in coordination with service teams.
3. Marketing & Strategy
Lead marketing initiatives, market analysis, and competitive research.
Develop product positioning, promotional materials, and digital marketing campaigns.
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry seminars to enhance brand presence.
Provide insights for new product development and market trends.
4. Technical Expertise
Offer engineering-based recommendations, product selection, and sizing calculations.
Collaborate with design, R&D, and production teams to support customer-specific needs.
Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and mechanical system advancements.
5. Reporting & Coordination
Prepare sales forecasts, CRM updates, and performance reports.
Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, production, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth order execution.
Monitor competitor activities and suggest strategic actions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering
(Master's preferred).
5-10+ years' experience in
technical sales, business development, or marketing
in a mechanical/industrial domain.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, components, equipment, or industrial solutions.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability.
Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and digital marketing platforms is a plus.
Willingness to travel as required.
