Design and develop mechanical systems related to ELV components such as HVAC systems, fire alarms, CCTV, and other automation systems, in line with project requirements.
Ensure that all mechanical aspects of ELV systems (e.g., ducts, vents, control panels) integrate seamlessly with electrical and control systems.
Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and contractors to design systems that meet project specifications.
Coordinate the integration of mechanical systems with other building services such as electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
Ensure smooth coordination between the mechanical and ELV systems to optimize system performance and efficiency.
Develop detailed layout drawings, specifications, and system schematics for installation.
Support project managers with technical guidance during project implementation, ensuring systems are installed according to design specifications and industry standards.
Conduct site visits and supervise the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems associated with ELV projects.
Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure that they are functional and meet all safety and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with local and international standards and regulations related to mechanical systems and ELV systems.
Perform quality checks to ensure mechanical systems are functioning as designed and are compatible with ELV technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or integration issues that arise during the project or operation phase.
Prepare detailed technical reports, operation manuals, and as-built drawings for mechanical systems.
Maintain and update records of mechanical system specifications, installation progress, and operational performance.
Document test results, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Design mechanical systems with energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental considerations in mind.
Propose energy-saving solutions and enhancements to improve the performance and efficiency of ELV-related systems.
Work closely with other engineering teams (e.g., electrical engineers, control system engineers) to ensure the proper functioning of the integrated systems.
Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for mechanical components and ensure all materials meet technical and quality specifications.
Provide troubleshooting support for mechanical systems in ELV projects during and after installation.
Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure continued system performance and reduce downtime.
