Education:

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification

Experience:

15-20 years in gas compression systems, operations & maintenance (O&M), and project execution

Key Responsibilities / KRAs:

Gas Compression Systems:

Oversee installation, commissioning, and operational performance of gas compression units Ensure proper configuration, calibration, and functionality of compressors and related mechanical systems Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to pressure, flow, vibration, and equipment efficiency Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for technical support, spares, and system upgrades

Operations & Maintenance (O&M):

Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all mechanical systems Supervise daily O&M activities, including inspection, testing, repairs, and overhauls Maintain records of maintenance logs, equipment history, and performance trends Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental compliance at all operational sites Train and guide technicians in safe and efficient maintenance practices

Project Management:

Plan and manage end-to-end execution of mechanical aspects in gas infrastructure and compression projects Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and cost estimates for mechanical systems Monitor project timelines, budget utilization, resource allocation, and vendor coordination Conduct site visits, progress reviews, and ensure timely resolution of site-level mechanical issues Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (civil, electrical, instrumentation) for seamless project execution

Reporting & Documentation:

Generate technical reports, equipment performance evaluations, and failure analysis documents Maintain inventory of critical spares, consumables, and update asset management records Ensure documentation for handover, audits, and regulatory submissions is complete and accurate
