JOB Description

:

Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects for pharmaceutical production facilities including equipment installation, upgrades, and validation.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred). Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of GMP, validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ), and regulatory standards. Hands-on experience with cleanroom design, HVAC systems, water systems, and pressure vessels. Proficiency in using engineering software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Design and oversee the implementation of HVAC, utility systems (WFI, PW, HVAC, compressed air, chillers, boilers), and process equipment. Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Production, EHS) to ensure smooth plant operations and compliance with regulatory guidelines. Support audits and inspections (USFDA, MHRA, EU-GMP, etc.) with relevant mechanical documentation and evidence. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend modifications to improve efficiency and reduce downtime. Prepare and review SOPs, maintenance logs, and technical documentation in line with cGMP and quality standards. Lead a team of junior engineers and technicians and provide guidance, training, and performance management. Engage with vendors and contractors for procurement, installation, and maintenance services. Participate in CAPEX budgeting and execution for mechanical engineering projects.
