Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Mechanical Engineer
to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems, primarily for elevator components. This role involves both design and technical support, as well as cross-functional collaboration with production, procurement, and customer service teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and plan production orders in line with the weekly design-production schedule.
Create mechanical drawings, including exploded views and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for parts and assemblies.
Modify and update elevator models and parameterization (e.g., DXF export, drawing corrections).
Troubleshoot and resolve design issues to ensure optimal product performance.
Estimate project budgets, resources, and scope.
Respond to technical inquiries, providing detailed product, service, and equipment information.
Prepare comprehensive product documentation including installation manuals and CAD files.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (EN81 series) and provide guidance to customers.
Develop and maintain the Doppler Configurator, including debugging product listings within the DOPPLER app.
Design custom (SPECIAL) elevator shafts for both offer and order stages, including RENDER-ready outputs.
Support product improvement initiatives and assist the procurement team in sourcing components.
Perform detailed cost estimations and participate in costing activities.
Provide technical support post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction.
Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
MSc/BA degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the elevator or similar manufacturing industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software (e.g.,
AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong skills in mathematical computing and data analysis (Excel).
