Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

Create detailed mechanical designs for products, systems, or equipment using CAD software and other design tools, including modifications and improvements to existing designs.

Problem Solving & Analysis:

Analyze engineering problems, devise innovative solutions, conduct analytical tests to ensure durability and performance, and troubleshoot issues during design and development.

Project Management:

Oversee the entire mechanical design process, from planning and concept to testing and implementation, and ensure projects stay within budget and timelines. This includes developing project proposals and budgets, and potentially managing schedules and delegating tasks.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, electrical engineers, manufacturing, and construction personnel to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals. Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and suppliers, and participate in design reviews and meetings.

Quality and Compliance: *

Verify the safety, reliability, and performance of designs, conduct thorough research to recommend improvements, and ensure products meet all applicable safety regulations and quality standards.

Mentor-ship and Technical Expertise:

Guide and mentor junior engineers, providing expertise in design processes, material selection, and manufacturing techniques.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and maintain documentation related to designs, including operation and maintenance manuals, and analyze data to write reports.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, identify opportunities for technical and commercial improvement, and potentially suggest new product or feature developments.

Experience:

Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery and team leadership.

Pay: Up to ?1,100,000.00 per year
