Key Responsibilities

:-
Machine Design & Development:

Lead the design and development of industrial machines, special purpose machines(SPM), and mechanical assemblies. Create, review, and approve detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Solid Edge and AutoCAD. Define machine layouts, mechanisms, drive systems, and safety features as per application requirements. Prepare and validate BOMs, technical specifications, and design documentation .
Analysis & Validation:

Perform and review engineering calculations and analyses (stress, load, motion, thermal, etc.) for machine components. Coordinate with testing teams for prototype assembly, trials, and performance validation. Resolve design issues during machine build and commissioning stages.
Project Ownership & Coordination:

Manage design activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and cost targets. Support project planning, effort estimation, and risk mitigation for machine design projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, quality, procurement, and vendors to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning.
Mentorship & Technical Leadership:

Guide and mentor junior design engineers; review drawings and designs for accuracy and standards compliance. Establish and follow machine design standards, best practices, and documentation control.
Continuous Improvement:

Drive design optimization, value engineering, and cost reduction initiatives. Stay updated with latest machine design trends, automation concepts, and industry standards.
Skills & Competencies

Strong hands-on experience in Machine Design / SPM Design. Advanced proficiency in Solid Edge and AutoCAD (other CAD/CAE tools are an added advantage). Excellent understanding of mechanisms, hydraulics/pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, bearings, materials, and manufacturing processes. Sound knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and machine safety standards Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good communication and team collaboration skills.

Pay: ₹450,000.94 - ₹500,000.27 per year
