We are looking for a

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

with strong experience in

HVAC system design

and expertise in

HAP (Hourly Analysis Program)

to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of

mechanical

,

architectural

, and

structural

design to ensure fully integrated and optimized building systems.

This role requires a deep understanding of how mechanical systems interact with architectural layouts and structural frameworks in building projects such as residential, commercial, industrial, or institutional developments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of HVAC systems for building projects. Perform accurate

cooling/heating load calculations

using

HAP

. Coordinate mechanical designs with

architectural layouts

and

structural elements

to avoid conflicts and optimize system placement. Produce detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and documentation using AutoCAD. Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to ensure compatibility with mechanical systems. Collaborate with architects, civil/structural engineers, and project managers during all design phases. Attend project coordination meetings and resolve interdisciplinary design issues. Ensure compliance with local building codes, energy efficiency standards, and client requirements. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and CAD technicians.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

7+ years

of mechanical design experience, preferably in the building services industry. Proficient in

HAP

for HVAC load calculations. Strong skills in

AutoCAD

; experience with Revit is an advantage. Solid understanding of architectural and structural coordination requirements. Knowledge of international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or Professional Engineering License (PE) / Chartered Engineer. Experience working on high-rise, commercial, or institutional building projects. Familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination platforms (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360).
