Designation: Senior Assembly Technician

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Assembly

Assemble mechanical parts, subassemblies, and complete systems using hand and power tools Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, BOMs, and work instructions Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, fastening, and torqueing to specifications Conduct functional tests and basic troubleshooting of assembled units Inspect components and assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with standards Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or process issues Maintain accurate production and quality documentation Follow safety procedures, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices Support rework, repair, and continuous improvement activities Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams

In-House & Outhouse Work Coordination Responsibilities

Coordinate in-house assembly activities with outsourced (outhouse) manufacturing and fabrication work Plan and track work allocation between internal teams and external vendors to meet production schedules Communicate drawings, specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines to external vendors Monitor progress of outsourced jobs and follow up on delays or issues Verify outsourced components and assemblies upon receipt for quality, fit, and functionality Coordinate rework or corrective actions for non-conforming outsourced parts Align in-house assembly sequences with outsourced part availability Maintain documentation related to outsourced and in-house work status Work closely with production, procurement, quality, and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow
