Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced
Senior Marketing Manager - Government & Defence Sector
to lead business development initiatives and institutional marketing strategies in the Defence and Government domains.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with Defence establishments, PSUs, and Government departments, with a strong background in marketing technical or engineering products.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute marketing and business development strategies for the Defence, Aerospace, and Government sectors.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, government tenders, and institutional clients.
Establish and maintain long-term relationships with Government officials, Defence procurement teams, PSUs, and strategic partners.
Conduct client visits, presentations, and technical discussions to promote company products and capabilities.
Collaborate with internal technical and production teams to align marketing activities with company goals.
Represent the company at exhibitions, industry events, and Defence/Government vendor meetings.
Prepare marketing reports, forecasts, and strategic plans for management review.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and upcoming procurement programs.
Candidate Profile:
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in Marketing, Sales, or Business Development, preferably in Defence, Aerospace, or Government sector.
Preferred Background:
Ex-Government or Defence employee / candidate with an established liaison network.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong relationship management and communication skills
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and analytical abilities
Knowledge of tendering, government procurement, and DPP (Defence Procurement Procedures)
Ability to travel extensively across India for client meetings and industry visits
