Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Market Risk Analyst to help support the growth of our organization and the Risk team. The Senior Market Risk Analyst plays a key role in assessing various types of risks and opportunities as we continue to add new businesses to our portfolio.

The ideal candidate is someone who is looking to pursue a career in commodity risk management, has working experience with financial derivatives and demonstrates a strong interest in the finance world and the economy. The Senior Market Risk Analyst will work closely with the Risk Director and Risk Manager, the Information Systems team, the Trading desks, the Operations team, and the Finance department. This role will be based at our regional office in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

Responsibilities

• Measure, monitor and mitigate market risks.
• Establish strong relationship with trading teams and develop an in-depth understanding of current and future trading strategies.
• Make forward looking analyses to improve and enhance risk allocation strategies.
• Make recommendations to the Risk Director on hedging optimization practices.
• Evaluate counterparty risks and make recommendations to align exposures with the company\xe2\x80\x99s risk tolerance.
• Support the development of end-to-end Risk models on Microsoft Excel and Python to monitor and manage market risks.
• Coordinate and assist in the development of Risk applications and models with the Information Systems department.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Commerce or MBA graduate (with a Finance concentration).
• 2 to 5 years of working experience in Risk management.
• Thorough understanding of financial derivatives, mark-to-market accounting, Value-at-Risk, and stress tests.
• Demonstrates strong business acumen.
• Demonstrates a capacity in understanding the Big Picture and makes connections at a macro level.
• Ability to pay great attention to details.
• Have strong financial and data analysis skills.
• Proficient at advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Python is an asset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Be open-minded, coachable, resourceful and have an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Demonstrate great communication skills and display strong interpersonal skills.
