Job Description


Purpose of the Role
Position will be responsible for providing strategic business partnering role to the Purchase function in planning and delivering materials with optimised cost and working capital usage. This includes key strategic negotiations along with Business with financial imperatives taking into account market outlook for major high value items. This also includes taking insights from global and Indian economic outlook on commodities including competitive intelligence exercise, wherever applicable, for effective cost management.
Job Responsibility

  • Analyse macro-economic indicators, track commodity price movements and trends and use the same for robust forecasting
  • Financial analysis of vendor partners and rate them from Financial perspective
  • Identify opportunity for cost reduction using the analytics tools
  • Help formulate budgeted material cost reduction / increase targets based on analysis and insights generated
  • Influence decisions in Sourcing Council
  • PO approval process / PO Analysis / Cost benchmarking
  • Design, implement and monitor procurement policies and procedures
  • Monitor Company inventory performance, analyse for improving efficiency in establishing base level inventory targets
  • Monitor performance reporting of Commodity verticals- Cost Reduction / Increase.

Desired Candidate Profile
  • Education CA / ICWA / MBA + Engineer with 2-5 years of Experience in the relevant domain
  • Experience in Auto industry will be an advantage;
Skills & Competencies
  • Excel and MS Office skills, and ready for hands-on work on these platforms;
  • Familiarity with SAP modules will be an advantage
