Purpose of the Role
Job Responsibility
The role involves
Conducting primary and/or secondary research, as well as quick rounds of usability testing
Quick visualization and prototyping ideas to communicate concepts, conveying design ideas via sketches, wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and/or animations
Active participation in UX strategy development along with team members, creating efficient product design roadmaps
Participation in business meetings, design reviews, architecture discussions
Working with stakeholders to discover functional feasibility, effective workflows and design sign off
Design intuitive and functional interfaces with focus on accessibility and user centred design.
Testing design in vehicle enviroment to evaluate reach, legibility, sun washout, and other similar parameters
Working with developers and testing team to deliver polished final product
High Level HMI Project Management to ensure meeting of project deadlines
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Educational Qualification: B.Tech or any other Educational qualification in Industrial design.
Experience: 3-6 Years (atleast 3 years experience in Design)
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of UX design processes, Usability best practices, Usability Principles, UI patterns
Strong knowledge of Design Systems, importance & implementation protocols.
Ability to clearly articulate a problem space and design solutions that meet users needs and business goals
Ability to accurately set, manage, and meet deadlines
Ability to quickly incorporate feedback into designs
Ability to collaborate with developers to ensure quality and consistency after design hand-off
Skilled in design software such as Adobe XD, or similar tools
A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions.
Understanding of Automotive HMI Development process
High level knowledge of automotive design guidelines to create driver friendly distraction-free interfaces
